Pokenet another Pokemon MMORPG I have tracked down. The makers say it is an open-source and completely free game. I think it was previously known as the free online game called Pokemon Online Revolution and Pokemon Global. Reading about Pokenet it seems that it has been developed and tested for many years.
It doesn’t need much of a computer to play it on and uses Java, thats the client. You can also be a server if you want to serve up a good free Pokemon RPG.
It seems to have quite a few members and players so worth a try don’t you think?
