Expansion of casino gambling is one the great ways of US States for them to raise revenue these days. According to critics of casino gambling, one good example for this is the Tioga Downs Casino in New York that brings in more cash to shore up the state budget for education.
Tioga Downs Casino, one of the well-established casinos in the state of New York that has been opened for three years contributed over $58 million to education and Nichols Area community.
“We want to see future generations do as well or better than we have,” said Pete Savage, President of Tioga Downs, “so contributions to education is a win, win for everybody.” Even with the large donations, opponents of casino gambling continue to fight expansion.
The state of New York is one of several states on the East Coast that are looking towards casino expansion. Pennsylvania has a casino opening in the next two weeks in Pittsburgh, and Massachusetts lawmakers have started discussions about casino gambling.
